Take out and Asian food go together like Danny and Sandy in Grease. It’s just meant to be. This is why we decided to partner with a new company called trufl that has a goal of creating a unified take out ordering system that features local restaurants. Not only is it easy to use, but it remembers your order should you want the same thing next time.
Give it a try next time you are thinking about calling the restaurant. Just click the “order online” button on the boom website. Give it a try and let us know how the experience is for you. We’re ready to start cooking for you.

Spicy Pork Ramen has been a fast riser on our new menu items so we grabbed a camera and asked Chef Hunt to show us how to make it. It’s a great soup, but not casual to create. I guess we know why back in the day instant ramen was created. 1. Add boiling water. 2. Serve. Check out the video to see what it takes to make the real stuff.

Some people some love Neil Diamond and some people don’t. This is exactly the case with tofu. Who knew? For all of you tofu lovers out there as well as you tofu-phobs, we give you our version of salt and pepper tofu. We crisp-up organic tofu, wok toast our salt and pepper and spices and beg you to eat them with the green onion. Give it a try, and let us know if it becomes a regular part of your ordering routine at boom!

Yes, it’s true. We have finally decided to answer the question, “can I get a damn egg roll here?” with a resounding YES! Not only that, they are hand-made and boy can you tell the difference. Thanks to all of you who encouraged us to do this. A little nudge is all we need sometimes.

Just think, only two more weeks it’s back to school and time to hit the tanning salon if we want to pretend Summer actually existed this year. We feel your pain so come in to your favorite boom and get half off any dessert. Sweet.

With the way our media works today it’s easy to forget how just a short time ago Japan was rocked with such devastation. So, we are really grateful to everyone who came to “Help Japan Through Art” silent auction and to all of the incredible artists who donated pieces for the show. In total over $3,100 was raised and given to the Red Cross. Way to go people, and a special thanks to our supreme bar master Matt Larson for coordinating the whole event!

There is something special about SIFF. It’s one of those festivals that leaves you with a sense of hope that independent film still has a future! Once again boom on 12th & Pike will be the official SIFF lounge throughout the festival. Come on in before or after the shows and get 10% off for showing your movie ticket from that same day (Unless you get out of a late show and we’re closed. Then just come in the next day, no problem.)
We will be running various specials throughout so grab a date, see a show, and come on in for some food, drink and deep conversation.
